This year Able Child Africa had 38 incredible runners who completed the TCS London Marathon 2022. We want to send our biggest congratulations to our running team – and thank you to our Able Child Africa staff who cheered them on every hour of the day.
Our amazing team of runners and fundraisers came from all over the UK and beyond – across four different continents – and collectively raised over £70,000 for Able Child Africa. As the marathon approached, the day looked to be a washout as rain in the forecast dominated headlines. Amazingly, the clouds broke and the sun shone as the marathon got underway. It culminated in a glorious October marathon with Able Child Africa’s running tops radiant in the sunshine. From start to finish, our marathon team persevered in their fundraising efforts and showed fantastic support for our cause: to improve the lives of children with disabilities in Africa.

David – “We should thank you not only for your help and support you have given us all but especially for the work you do with some of the world’s most vulnerable children. As for this wee 57 year old who managed my best marathon time (4’04’’) well, I’m still on cloud nine!”
