On Sunday 4th October, our very patient 2020 London Marathon runners were finally able to hit the pavement in their running shoes and take on those 26 gruelling miles as part of V40, the 40th London Marathon.
They had from midnight on the morning of the 4th to complete the distance on a course of their own design, and luckily the weather seemed to hold out, for most!
We had runners all around the globe from London to California to Novosibirsk who all completed the race with a record number of personal bests.
It has been fantastic supporting the team in all their efforts and achievements after what has been an incredibly difficult year for everyone.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all our runners for their incredible fundraising efforts too which, in spite of the marathon not happening in its usual format, have been incredible and will go such a long way in helping us continue to support children with disabilities in Africa. We can’t wait to see you all in London soon!
We have also had some other wonderful challenge events going on – Rachel, Julie and Izzy took on the Blenheim Palace triathlon and Zeb and Zayn cycled 50km in the Alps!
